$Karbon

Carbon Credits, but Make Them Web3.
Karbon Token is the only carbon-backed currency that blends serious offsets with community culture.

Fixed Supply

Only 25,000,000 $KARBON will ever exist. No inflation, no burning the base currency — a true carbon-backed currency layer.

Real World Assets

Every annual vintage is backed by real, measured carbon sequestration. Burn tokens, retire CO₂, and get a certificate you can prove on-chain.

Offsets Made Easy

KAS → $KARBON → annual tokens → burn. No middlemen, no mystery. Just transparent, verifiable offsets anyone can use.

MEME Energy

Offsets don’t have to be boring. Karbon blends Indigenous stewardship, serious carbon integrity, and Web3 meme culture into one ecosystem.

The Token

Karbon Token ($KARBON) is a carbon-backed digital currency on Kaspa Network.
• $KARBON is the currency layer with a fixed supply of 25 million.
• Annual vintages (e.g., KARBON25) and special issuances are the offset layer that can be burned to retire CO₂.
• Each offset token represents 0.5 kg CO₂ capacity.

Funds generated through $KARBON:
• Support restoration and TEK practices on our sequestration projects.
• Expand offsets by partnering with other landowners and other entities.
• Build a transparent, blockchain-based carbon marketplace rooted in cultural stewardship and transparency.

The Founder

Toby Vanlandingham
Founder, Karbon Token – Yurok Tribal Councilmember (2017–Present) – Community Organizer – Nacho Creator Team – Cultural Fire Practitioner

Toby has overseen the Yurok Tribe’s nationally respected carbon offset program since 2017, giving him direct experience in governance, verification, and climate finance. He helped reintroduce cultural fire to Yurok lands through the Klamath River Local Organizing Committee in 2012, blending Traditional Ecological Knowledge with modern restoration practices.

As an OG member of the Nacho Creator Team, Toby bridges tribal stewardship, carbon markets, and Web3 innovation to power Karbon Token — the currency built for climate action.

The Responsibility

The blockchain industry has transformed global finance and innovation, but it has also become one of the most energy-intensive sectors in the world. The growing computational power required for mining, validation, and transaction processing contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions.

As blockchain adoption accelerates, offsetting carbon emissions should be a top priority for those within the crypto ecosystem. Responsible projects and communities can take direct action by supporting verifiable, transparent offset programs that restore the planet while preserving decentralization and innovation.

Karbon Token provides a practical solution — a carbon-backed currency that allows Web3 participants to offset their environmental footprint directly on-chain. Whether through personal wallet activity, validator operations, or project emissions, holding and burning Karbon represents measurable, permanent climate impact.

By embedding environmental accountability into blockchain culture, Karbon aims to help crypto evolve into a net-positive force for the planet, balancing digital innovation with ecological responsibility.

The Certificate

When you burn Karbon offset tokens, the impact is permanent — and so is the proof.

Every burn generates a verifiable certificate that records exactly how much CO₂ was retired, tied to a transaction hash on the Kaspa blockchain. Each certificate includes:
• Tons of CO₂ retired
• Transaction hash
• Timestamp
• Unique certificate ID

For businesses, these certificates are audit-ready and can be used directly in ESG reporting. For community members, they are a way to proudly show real climate action.

Our public registry makes every retired ton fully transparent, ensuring that Karbon offsets can always be trusted and verified.

Our mission is to use Transformational Forest Management to restore this land using Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) combined with some modern techniques and tools:
• Reintroducing cultural fire to reduce overgrowth.
• Restoring balance and health to the forest.
• Reviving wildlife, native flora, and cultural landscapes.
